job Description

We are seeking talented individuals who want to help shape young minds and teach them the skills they need to be successful. The Assistant Director of Preschool supports the Preschool Director in overseeing the daily operations, curriculum implementation, and staff management of the preschool program. This role ensures a nurturing, faith-based learning environment while maintaining compliance with state and local regulations. The Assistant Director will assist with teacher supervision, parent communication, enrollment, and administrative tasks to foster a high-quality early childhood
education program.

The ideal candidate is a competent professional with in-depth knowledge of teaching best practices and educational processes. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate outstanding presentation and interpersonal abilities. 

As a guiding hand for our students, The Assistant Director of Preschool will be an integral part of providing constructive feedback and assuring our students leave the classroom ready to provide for themselves as well as for their community and the world.

requirements

● Must be a Christian and actively attend a local church.
● Preschool Director credentials required.
● Experience (teaching) working with children and students.
● Assist the Preschool Director in managing the daily operations of the preschool program.
● Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, safety protocols, and school policies.
● Support with scheduling, staffing, and ensuring appropriate teacher-to-student ratios.
● Oversee the maintenance of student records, attendance, and required documentation.
● Assist in organizing and managing preschool events, parent meetings, and professional development sessions.
● Frequent walking, standing, stooping, and lifting of up to approximately 30 pounds may be required.
● Full-time position Monday through Friday.
● Work day from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
● Desire to continue career improvement and travel if necessary.

1. Ability to communicate comfortably (written and orally) with students, parents/guardians, administrators, and others.
2. Ability to follow and enforce rules, policies, and procedures.
3. Support the philosophy and mission of Trinity Christian Academy.
4. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
5. Support teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and faith-based learning experiences.
6. Monitor lesson plans, classroom activities, and instructional methods to ensure quality education.
7. Collaborate with the Preschool Director to assess and improve the preschool program.
8. Provide support to teachers in differentiating instruction and incorporating best practices.

responsibilities

1. Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
2. Organize supplies and resources for lectures and presentations.
3. Deliver personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning.
4. Plan and implement educational activities and events.
5. Ensure classrooms are clean and orderly.
6. Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of preschool teachers and staff.
7. Provide mentorship, coaching, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
8. Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to enhance teaching effectiveness.
9. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among faculty and staff.
10. Attend parent-teacher meetings.
11. Attend training sessions, conferences and seminars to further your own education regarding technological and procedural changes in your field so that you can provide the information to your students.
12. Attend and engage in regularly scheduled staff meetings and occasionally engage in parent participation events and other events that may be on nights and/or weekends. Attendance at Orientation and Open House preparations and event dates are mandatory.
13. Report directly to the Preschool Director and Headmaster.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Preschool Director or Headmaster.
