job Description
The Bible Teacher is responsible for leading students in the study of God’s Word while integrating biblical truth into daily instruction and discipleship. This position exists not only to teach Scripture academically, but to help students develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, grow in biblical understanding, and cultivate a Christian worldview that shapes how they live, learn, and lead.
The Bible Teacher serves as both educator and spiritual mentor, supporting the mission of Trinity Christian Academy by helping students know truth, live truth, and share truth.
At Trinity Christian Academy, Bible is more than a subject—it is foundational. The Bible Teacher helps students see Scripture not simply as something to study, but as truth to live by. This role is central to shaping hearts, renewing minds, and preparing students to follow Christ faithfully in every sphere of life.
requirements
- Must be a Christian and actively attend a local church
- Bachelor’s Degree (Bible, Theology, Christian Education, or related field)
- Teaching certification or eligibility preferred
- In-depth knowledge of teaching methods
- Demonstrated heart for discipleship and Christian education
- Experience working with children and students (prior classroom experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Scripture and Christian doctrine
- Physical ability: walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to approximately 30 lbs
- Full-time position (Monday–Friday)
- Work hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Desire for continued professional growth and willingness to travel if necessary
essential responsibilities
Biblical Instruction
- Teach Bible courses aligned with curriculum and biblical worldview standards
- Develop engaging lesson plans promoting biblical literacy and critical thinking
- Instruct in Scripture, theology, apologetics, and Christian living
- Assess learning through assignments, projects, and evaluations
- Integrate prayer, worship, and Scripture into daily classroom life
Discipleship & Spiritual Formation
- Foster spiritual growth and discipleship
- Encourage students in their personal walk with Christ
- Model biblical character and servant leadership
- Provide mentorship and spiritual guidance
- Support chapels, prayer initiatives, and faith-based events
Classroom Leadership
- Maintain an orderly, Christ-centered learning environment
- Set high expectations for academics and behavior
- Apply effective classroom management strategies
- Differentiate instruction based on student needs
Biblical Worldview Integration
- Help students apply Scripture to everyday life
- Equip students to respond biblically to cultural challenges
- Integrate faith across academic disciplines
- Support the school’s biblical worldview mission
Collaboration & School Community
- Partner with faculty and administration
- Participate in meetings, events, and professional development
- Communicate student progress with parents
- Contribute to school culture and ministry

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design engaging lesson plans including notes, tests, and assignments
- Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment
- Organize teaching materials and resources
- Deliver personalized and interactive instruction
- Plan educational activities and events
- Keep the classroom clean and organized
- Prepare progress reports and report cards
- Attend parent-teacher meetings
- Evaluate and document student progress
- Assign and grade homework and tests
- Develop teaching aids and study resources
- Create and administer assessments
- Meet with students, parents, and staff regarding progress
- Maintain student records (attendance, grades, behavior, etc.)
- Attend training, conferences, and professional development
- Participate in staff meetings and school events (including evenings/weekends as needed)
- Report to the Chief of Guidance & Instruction and Head of School
- Perform additional duties as assigned
